8 days, 60+ hours and it is time for a day off. Meaning I get to wake up early and sit in a car for 40 minutes to visit mum/mike/ali. They moved to Whangaparoa(sp?) a week ago. It was already a mission and a half to visit them from Hamiltron when they were in Te Atatu but now... jeez.
Predictably Alice wanted to rush into the presents, although Lauren seemed almost equally enthusiastic. I think because she bought half of them. She is so domestic now, it is scary. Consumables aside I got a BDO ticket, some more CKone (consumable, but not in a day) a shirt and a couple Paluniak books. Not sure about this reading business. For the 18th time Alice got a heap of presents. A joke was made about her sitting on her pile and mum just about wet herself. Never seen her laugh so much xD
Family nonsense starting in an hour and a half, I am into the brewskis already. I can almost guarantee that it will be the same old. I bet myself $5. Same old gifts that I do not need, same old questions. It would be nice to be able to ask the questions and catch up with them for once.

In work news, I got a chocolate bar from a customer because I was the only person who was nice to her and helped her sort out a gift for christmas.
Time to go... I think I will drink myself to sleep :) |
